Paints

  When it comes time to start painting your figure the type of paints are very important. Use only water based acrylic paints on your plastic figures. Never use enamel paints. They will dry sticky and turn your figure to crap. I use Tamiya paints. They mix well, have tons of colors, and dry with no streaks. On occasion I will use cheaper craft paints, if I need to cover a large area or need to paint over dark colored plastic. I will then use the better paints for my final coat. Tamiya can be found at your local hobby shop.
