Wolverine was made from the figure from Marvel Legends Box set , not the $250 "Unmasked" figure. What, did you think I went totally INSANE! I didn't want this figure to be just another re-paint, so I went to work with my trusty Dremel and removed all of Wolvie's "tiger stripes" and spiky boot tops from his his outfit. This, of course. left the figure a little scared-up, so I needed to resculpt parts of his body with Magic Sculpt Putty. I used white plastic "gymp" for the straps on his gloves, legs and boots, then painted them yellow. I removed Wolverine's original claws and replaced them with stronger, better looking versions I cut from plastic stryine. Marvel Legend figures are well known for there many points of articulation, so painting the figure needed to be done very carefully. Too much paint in a joint, and he won't wove. Keeping in the style of the Legends line, I went for a more detail paint scheme. "Wash painting" a darker color over the base colors gave me my shadow effect. "Dry brushing" a lighter shade of the base color gave me my high lights.
