The ideal choice for the base, was the figure from the Disney Theme parks. I started by taking apart the figure, so I could remove his limbs. This also allowed for easier painting down the road. I replace his right arm with that of a figure from the WWE wrestling line. This part was a little tougher that I had thought. Once the torso of the figure was opened, it was clear that the structure that held the arms in place and allowed them to rotate were different from the donor arm. I needed to carefully remove the inner arm support from the wrestling figure and glue it into the torso of Indy. With a little added putty inside the body, the arm was able to move freely and easily. I then went to work in sculpting in the details such as the whip scars on his back and his torn pants. Fabric was use for this ripped shirt and epaulet. (that's his shoulder strap). I then repainted the figure in greater detail. Dirtying his hat and clothes and highlighting the details in his shirt, holster and bag.
