FILES

 These are very important if you plan on having any real detail to your figures. I use the files after the putty is dry to help carve detail into my figure. Because of their rough surfaces, I do not like to use them on wet putty. It will dry in the teeth of your files. Old dentist tools are also great for small detail work. You can get good files at any hardware store. Ask your dentist for any old tools, mine gave me his. I also found some at a flea market. (told the lady that sold me them I was practicing on my dog to get though dentist school. Really freaked her out.)
