Batman always seems like a natural figure for customizers to make. Everyone I know has made one. Batman can be made from a large variety of base figures and I feel that this figure really proves that point ! This time I wanted to make Batman in the awesome style of Frank Miller's Dark Knight. I used the Maul figure from the WildC.A.T.S toy line from Playmates. I started by removing the original head and the "tusks" that were on the figure. I then used putty to patch over the holes left in his back when I removed the tusks. I then hand sculpted Batman's new head out of Super Scuply. After I baked the head in my oven I glued it onto the figure. Then I used some Milliput Putty to blend his new head into a neck that went smoothly into his body. I then need to blend his cape into his head with some more putty. I made sure to paint him in the dark colors of the comic book, which really makes the figure stand out as a Franks Miller character.
