Imagine if you will that Arnold Schwarzenegger played Colossus in the 3rd X-Man movie.  Okay, now imagine that there was a 12" action figure.....well you don't need to imagine, because here he is.  I created Colossus out of the large vinyl Wolverine figure from Toy Biz.  Magic Sculpt putty and plastic stryine was used for his belt, boots and outfit.  Keeping all his articulation was a must in this figure, so I made sure I worked slow and carefully, so that the putty and paint didn't stick in the joints.  Since the base figure was a soft vinyl, I sprayed the figure with a flat white acrylic premier, then I used acrylic paints (as you should  do on all figures) to make sure the finial figure was not left sticky.
