Batman always seems like a natural figure for customizers to make. Everyone I know has made one. Batman can be made from a large variety of base figures. This figure was made from a kenner Batman. All I really wanted to do was make a good version of the outfit seen in Batman Returns. I first had to Dremel off all the cartoony muscles on the figure. Then with some Milliput Putty, I sculpted on his armor. I then made sure to attach his cape to his back by cutting a "web" shape in the fabric so it would fit on like in the movie. When it came to painting, I made sure that I added shadows and detail to his face. This gave the finished figure more of a "model kit" look instead of a flat action figure paint job. I also gave his armor a dry brushing of gray. This allowed the detail I sculpted to really "pop" out.
