Alien Nation was a great movie. But it was an even BETTER TV show!

Do aliens live among us? Of course they do! You can see them in our streets, our schools, even playing cops on our TVs. As a big fan of the 90's show I had always wanted a George Francisco action figure. When I was a younger man, I made such a figure. I first made George out of a Clark Kent Super Powers figure. He came out well. Not great, but I was young and inexperienced. I also was unaware that the Clark Kent figure I used would be worth about $150 today! D-OH!!!

 For this version of George, I decided to go large!  After getting my hands on some 1/6 scale "street clothes", all I had to do was create his head.  This wasn't as easy as you would think.  I choose a head from my "parts box", removed the hair and sculpted his large, bald alien head.  That was the easy part.  Painting the detail proved to be more of a challenge.   I wanted Francisco's spots to be as accurate to the show as I could.  Finding clear images of his entire head and the placement of every spot was tough.  I painted the spots a mocha brown then highlighted them with a tan.  This gave the spotted pattern more depth.  For this figure I really wanted the details to shine, so I made sure his badge was  real metal and LAPD style.  His pistol has an opening chamber and can be removed from his shoulder holster.
