Alien Chest Bursting Homer was on my "To Do List" for a very long time.  I used the, now rare, Deep Space Homer.  I started off by removing the clear helmet.  This was no easy task.  The folks at Playmates really know how to glue a helmet together! Once the helmet was removed, after some cursing and light damage to the plastic, I Dremeled off the lower half of Homer's mouth and re-sculpted it so it was open.  I used a thin cut strip of plastic styrene for his tongue.  I then cut a hole into Homers chest and glued in a small cap shaped piece of plastic.  This would allow me to add the Alien without it falling into the hollow figure.  I then sculpted the Alien out of Magic Sculpt putty as well as the ripped space suit around the wound.  I then added clear red paint for the blood.  If you look closely, you'll see that the Alien has a slight resemblance to Bart.
