Starbuck was created using a figure from DC Direct,  Apollo from a NASCAR figure.  The NASCAR figures made for a perfect base because of there jumpsuits and removable helmets.  However, a lot of re-sculpting still had to be done to get the details of the outfits just right.  I created the flight helmets from the NASCAR figures.  Some putty was used to re-shape the design.  I used clear plastic, cut from a blister card, for the visor.  I then used a light wash of clear blue paint over the visor and the inside of the helmet,  to give the it the blue glow as seen on TV.  Each figure is about 5 1/2 inches tall with articulation at the heads, arms, elbows, waist, legs and feet.
